About Mez McConnell

Mez McConnell is the senior pastor of Niddrie Community Church and Director of 20schemes. Mez is the author of numerous books, including The Creaking on the Stairs: Finding Faith in God Through Childhood Abuse (Christian Focus) and Is There Anybody Out There?: A Journey from Despair to Hope (Christian Focus). He’s married to Miriam and has two daughters.As Director of 20schemes, Mez has had a heavy influence on the work of NEU Church Planting. His work in Scotland has served as inspiration and as motivation for the work that NEU is doing among New England’s urban poor.

At Urban Hope

Speaking in the event’s first plenary session, Mez will address evangelism in a talk titled: “Evangelism: Speaking the Message of Hope.” We are looking forward to learning from and being encouraged by Mez’s teaching.
