Why the Poor?
Our vision begins with God’s special concern for the lost and overlooked. Psalm 140:12 is representative of many Scriptures in God’s Word:
“I know that the Lord secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy.”
Why We Need Churches
Our vision is also shaped by the reality that church planting has overlooked our urban poor neighborhoods. We believe this gap must be filled:
“All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along.” (Galatians 2:10)
Why We Need You
This is a big vision, and requires many hands. So we are seeking churches who will come alongside church plant teams and support them for the long term—by visiting, by praying and by giving generously.
We also seek individuals, families, small groups and friend-groups who will do the same: adopt a community or church plant and pray, visit and give.
This vision is too big for us to do on our own. We need your help. And in seeking your help, we also want you to benefit from the blessing God brings to those who care for the overlooked.
